This Privacy Policy explains what data startfive (the "Service") collects, how it is used, and who it is shared with. By using the Service you agree to this policy.

1. Data we collect

Instagram listing data. The @handle you submit and the public profile data associated with it — display name, profile photo, follower count, and bio.
Payment data. When you pay, our provider Dodo Payments collects your name, email, billing country and address, and card details. startfive receives back the payment status, amount, billing country, and your name/email — never full card numbers.
Usage data. Aggregate counters such as total site visits and clicks per listing. These are counts, not profiles of individual visitors.
Technical data. Standard request information (IP address, user agent) processed transiently by our hosting provider to deliver the site and prevent abuse.

2. How we use it

to display your listing and its rank on the public leaderboard;
to process and confirm payments and apply the resulting rank;
to operate, secure, and improve the Service;
to comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

3. Service providers

We share data only with providers that help us run the Service:

Dodo Payments — payment processing and merchant of record.
Apify — retrieving public Instagram profile data for a submitted @handle.
Upstash — the database that stores leaderboard state and counters.
our hosting provider — serving the website.

We do not sell your personal data or share it for advertising.

4. Cookies and local storage

startfive does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser's local storage is used only to remember your chosen leaderboard view (list or grid). This stays on your device.

5. Retention

Leaderboard listings and the associated public account details are kept while the listing is live and for a reasonable period afterwards as an archive of the ranking. Payment records are kept as required for accounting and legal purposes. Aggregate counters are kept indefinitely.

6. Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of the data associated with your listing by contacting us. Note that a completed payment record cannot be deleted where we are required to retain it. Depending on your location you may also have the right to object to or restrict processing, or to lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority.

7. Children

The Service is not directed to anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

8. International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
